The Bill Pickett invitational rodeo
is slated for August 2-3, 2025 at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, near Atlanta. This event, which has sold out in the past, is known for celebrating the often-overlooked history of Black contributions to the American West. Coming off the heels of sold-out Atlanta concerts for Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" tour, there's renewed interest in Black Western culture, potentially drawing new audiences to the Bill Pickett Rodeo who are keen to experience this rich heritage firsthand. Organizers hope to capitalize on this heightened interest in the appeal of Black Cowboys and Cowgirls" to further educate and entertain audiences of all backgrounds.
